THE SHORT VERSION

There are no accounts. RetroPixel3D never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details. There is no sign-up, no login, and no password.

There is no advertising and no tracking. No ad networks, no social media SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no tracking cookies, no fingerprinting, and nothing sold or shared with data brokers.

Almost everything stays on your device. Data reaches our server when you play online, while Ludo Chaos 3D is open (to show who else is playing), when you submit a score to a leaderboard, when you turn on notifications, and — on the website — as an anonymous count of page views and games started.

This policy covers the website retropixel3d.com and the games published there: Neon Tank Brigade, Neon Balloon Brigade, Ludo Chaos 3D, Neon Tycoon, Neon Serpent and Marble Mayhem: Brick Breaker. It covers those same games equally when you install them as an app from the App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store. It is written from what the software actually does.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

The games use your browser's localStorage to remember your own settings and progress. This never leaves your device on its own, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser's site data for retropixel3d.com deletes all of it permanently.

WhatWhy
A random device id (rp3d.clientId) Generated by your browser, not assigned by us. It lets a leaderboard tell two submissions apart and limits repeat submissions. It contains nothing about you and is not linked to any identity.
Your chosen display name So you do not retype it every session. You choose it freely; a nickname is fine. In the App Store and Google Play versions, your callsign is chosen from a fixed list built into the game, so no text you write reaches our server or other players. The Microsoft Store version is this website running in its own app window, so there you type the name yourself, exactly as on the web.
Saved runs and high scores So a closed tab does not lose your game, and so the menu can show your personal best.
Settings Sound, vibration, camera, language, theme, difficulty, cosmetic choices, and whether you have already seen the coffee bar.
Ludo hour reminder (Ludo Chaos 3D app only) If you turn it on, your phone itself schedules one evening reminder a day, at an hour picked from your device's time zone. It is written into your phone's own notification system and nothing about it is sent to us or anyone else. Turn it off with the bell on the title screen.

WHAT REACHES OUR SERVER

In these situations, each tied to something you do.

When you play online. Your game connects to mp.retropixel3d.com over a websocket. It carries the display name you chose, your random device id, the room code, and the moves you make in the match. This is what lets another player see your tank move. We record when a session started and ended, and how many people were in it, so the site can show how many games have been played.

When you submit a score. We store the display name you chose, the score, the game and mode, the difficulty, how far you got, the date, and your random device id. That row is the leaderboard entry. A Neon Serpent SURVIVAL score also sends the run's steering inputs, so the server can replay the run and check the score is real; the inputs are used for that check and not kept. In Neon Serpent the name is always a callsign from a fixed list built into the game, on the web too. A Marble Mayhem daily run sends the run's tray movements, and the server replays them to set the score. Unlike Neon Serpent's, these inputs are kept with the leaderboard entry, and removed with it. In Marble Mayhem the name is likewise always one from a fixed list built into the game. In a Brick Battle the server passes the rows you clear to your rival and stores nothing about the match.

While Ludo Chaos 3D is open. Its title and online screens keep a small connection to mp.retropixel3d.com carrying your random device id, so the game can show how many people are online and offer a seat at a live table, and so others can see you. Nothing about it is stored: when you close the game or put it in the background, you stop being counted. We also keep daily totals, with no identifier at all, of how often the online screen is opened, how often Play now is pressed, and how often an invite link is followed.

When you turn on notifications (Ludo Chaos 3D and Neon Tank Brigade, App Store and Google Play versions only). So that we can tell you "a player joined your table", "it's your turn", or — only if you switch it on — "people are playing online right now", or in Neon Tank Brigade "a pilot is looking for a match", while the game is closed, your phone gives us a push token: an address Apple or Google issue for this app on this device. We store it with your random device id, your language, which of those notices you chose, and your device's time zone, so that a "people are playing" notice never arrives at night; that notice comes at most once a day. We use the token for nothing else. It is deleted when you switch those notifications off with the bell on the title screen, when Apple or Google tell us it no longer works (for example after you uninstall), or after 90 days in which the app did not reconnect. If you ask to be told when somebody wants to play, we keep your random device id and time zone until we have told you once, or for two days at most. That one notice reaches you either when a table opens with a free seat, or when somebody looked for a game and found nobody — in which case it asks you to open a table, and names no player either way. In Neon Tank Brigade there is one notice and one switch: PILOT ALERTS in the game's settings, off unless you turn it on, at most one a day and never at night. It never names a player. The daily Ludo hour reminder is scheduled by your phone itself and sends us nothing.

Nothing else is stored. There is no profile, no history of what you played when, and no way for us to connect a device id to a person.

SERVER LOGS AND BACKUPS

Like any website, our hosting produces standard web server logs, which include IP addresses and are kept only for security and troubleshooting.

The leaderboard and session database is backed up once a day to S3-compatible object storage hosted in the EU (Hetzner). Backups older than 30 days are deleted automatically.

ANALYTICS

It is switched on, and it is our own. Since 30 September 2026 the website and the web versions of the games count visits with a small script served by our own game server (mp.retropixel3d.com). No analytics company is involved; the counts travel like every other request to our server, through the CDN described under Third parties.

Each count records only: what happened (a page view, a game started or finished, an invite link followed or found expired), the page it happened on without its address parameters, the name of the website that linked you here if there was one, the game mode, and the time.

The counter itself records no IP address, device id, browser details, cookie or localStorage entry, and does no fingerprinting. Nothing ties one count to another or to you, which is why there is no consent banner between you and the games. The counts sit in the same database as the leaderboards and are backed up the same way. The App Store and Google Play versions of the games do not include the counter.

THIRD PARTIES

There are no advertising networks, and no third-party analytics or social SDKs.

CHILDREN

The games are suitable for all ages and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. Since there are no accounts, there is nothing to sign up for. On the web, display names are free text, so please do not enter a real full name; in the app-store versions there is nothing to type — the callsign comes from a fixed list built into the game.

YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW TO REMOVE DATA

Because there are no accounts, there is no account to delete and no deletion flow to hunt for.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the home page.

Keine Registrierung, kein Login, kein Passwort.

Keine Werbung, kein Tracking.

WAS AUF IHREM GERÄT BLEIBT

WAS UNSEREN SERVER ERREICHT
